You may be required to register with us in order to Post comments in relation to Content, to participate in Competitions or access some of the Content or other features
or functionality of this Website. Where you are required to register:

you must safeguard any user name and password which we provide to you;
you authorise us to assume that any person using this Website with your user name and/or password is either you or is authorised to act for you;
where your user name and/or password is specific to you, you must not allow anyone else to use your username and/or password; and
you agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorised use of your user name and/or password or any breach of security of which you become aware.
You may cancel your registration at any time by notifying us (unless the specific terms and conditions of a Competition provide otherwise).
We may discontinue or cancel your registration in our sole discretion without notice if:
you do not visit this Website for an extended period of time;
you breach any of these Terms of Use, any Competition terms and conditions or any applicable law; or
if we conclude that your conduct impacts on our name or reputation or violates our (or a third party‘s) rights.
Licence to use the content on this website
All of the content on this Website (including, but not limited to, text, graphics, advertisements, software, information, User Content (as defined in clause 1.2(a)) and RSS
Feeds (as defined in clause 2.1(a)) (Content) is subject to copyright and possibly other intellectual property rights of Alice.D Magazine (or our suppliers and/or licensors)
and is protected by Australian and international copyright and trademark laws.
We grant you a limited, revocable and non–transferable licence to access, view, use and print this Website and the Content solely for your personal, non–commercial purposes and only for those purposes (Licence).
We (or our suppliers and/or licensors) retain all right, title, and interest in and to this Website, the Content and all registered and unregistered trade marks which are owned by us which are included on this Website. Nothing you do on or in relation to this Website, the Content or our trade marks will transfer any intellectual property rights to you nor (subject to the Licence and clause 1.1(d)), create any license or other right to exercise any intellectual property rights in relation to this Website, the Content or our trade marks unless expressly stated in these Terms of Use.
You must not copy, modify, reproduce, republish, frame, upload to a third party, post, transmit or distribute the Content or our trade marks in any way except as expressly provided in these Terms of Use, contemplated by the limited scope of the Licence, or expressly consented to in writing by us. You should contact us through the Contact Information section of our website if you wish to obtain such consent.
Subject to applicable law, we may revoke the rights granted to you pursuant to this clause 1.1 at any time and may suspend or deny, in our sole discretion, your access to all or any part of this Website (including RSS Feeds) without notice.
User content
This Website may contain content or material uploaded, posted, emailed or otherwise electronically transmitted (Posted) by you, or other users of this Website (User Content).
You grant us a perpetual, royalty–free, non–exclusive, irrevocable and worldwide licence to use, copy, modify, adapt, exploit, publish, display, re–distribute, broadcast, transmit, sublicense, create derivative works from and incorporate in other works any User Content Posted by you, at any time in the future in any form and for any purpose (User Content Licence), and waive in favour of us all moral rights and any similar rights in any jurisdiction which you may have or acquire in respect of User Content Posted by you.
We may access or examine any User Content and at our discretion, move, remove, edit, refuse to Post or disable access to User Content which we consider, in our sole discretion, to breach any law or to be otherwise unacceptable. You acknowledge that we have no responsibility or liability for the deletion or failure to store any content or material Posted by you or any other user on this Website.
If you use this Website, you are solely responsible for any User Content Posted by you. In using this Website or any service offered through it, you must not:
1. violate any applicable laws, impersonate any person or Post any User Content that:
2. infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party or Post User Content that you do not have the right to Post;
3. is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, misleading, invasive of another‘s privacy, harassing, defamatory, slanderous, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racist, embarrassing, improper or otherwise objectionable to any other person or entity;

5. contains a survey, contest, or pyramid scheme;
6. distribute viruses, corrupted files, or any other similar software or programs that may damage the operation of any computer hardware or software; or
7. collect or store personal data about other users of this Website or engage in any other conduct that inhibits or discourages any other person from using or enjoying this Website.
Conflicts of Interest, Travel and Gifting Policy
A conflict of interest can occur in situations where the personal interests, gains, or loyalties impact on the ability of that person to make objective decisions and/or recommendations, thereby limiting Alice.D’s capacity to provide fair and balanced reporting that is accurate and transparent.
Conflicts, or potential conflicts, of interest, should be disclosed to the editor, to determine whether the conflict will interfere with the ability of that person to adhere to Alice.D’s editorial policies and to ensure that the conflict is adequately disclosed in any published materials.
It is inappropriate and in breach of Alice.D’s editorial policy for employees or contributors to receive a personal gain, other than any fees or salaries paid to them by Alice.D for their services, from content published on Alice.D’s platforms.
Employees and contributors must not solicit or request any benefits or gifts, or accept any bribes, in connection with their association and work with Alice.D.
If products are provided or sent to an employee or regular contributor for review on Alice.D’s platform, they may be used by that person but remain the property of Alice.D. They may not be provided to any other third parties or sold for personal gain.
Any offers to provide employees or contributors with free or discounted travel in connection to their association with Alice.D is to be referred to the editor. The editor will decide whether or not to accept the offer on behalf of the publication, who the most appropriate person to assign the offer to is, and the extent of any resulting coverage on Alice’D’s platforms. Any expenses accruing to Alice.D from such travel must be approved in advance.
Employees and Contributors should generally not produce features about family members, friends, business partners, or romantic partners without the express permission from the supervising editor, who will ensure relationships are disclosed to readers and that any potential conflicts are appropriately managed.

Payment for Content and Information
Alice.D does not pay a third party for their story, or as an inducement to be featured in Alice.D’s editorial content.
Where budget allows, Alice.D will pay an approved contributor a pre-approved amount for their creation of content to be published on Alice.D’s platforms (commissioned work).
Good Faith and Appropriate Behaviours
In all interactions connected with your association with Alice.D, it is expected that you act lawfully, in good faith, and represent Alice.D’s best interests.
You must not act in any way that could bring the reputation of Alice.D and its employees into disrepute.
This extends to behaviours and interactions with Alice.D-related contacts and content on personal social media accounts.
Use of profanity and slang words
In line with Alice.D’s editorial policy, the content on Alice.D is purposefully conversational in tone. As such, it may be appropriate to use (but not overuse) some mild profanity, slang, and internet language (including abbreviations and emojis) throughout Alice.D’s content. Such language must still be accurate and used authentically in the context and circumstances, and otherwise adhere to all other Editorial Guidelines.
